Raven Vanguard 2 Glock 43 - The Vanguard 2 Advanced Kit is a capacity upgrade to our venerable minimalist IWB holster, the Vanguard 2. Unlike traditional IWB holsters, the VG2 only covers the trigger guard of your weapon. This unique design eliminates much of the traditional holster, but provides a level of safety and security that cannot be achieved by sticking a gun in the waistband of your pants. The addition of the RCS CLAW to the VG2 Advanced Kit takes the concealability of this system to the next level by using the pistol grip closer to the body, allowing for an even cleaner, repeatable draw.
The Vanguard 2 Advanced Kit with RCS CLAW has 1.5" and 1.75" mounts. It can be used with a soft loop winder rest (not included) to allow you to choose the best belt interface system for your carry type and mission. Please note that the VG2 Advanced Kit is not compatible with the Basic Kit Strut or Lanyard option. VG2 CLAWs are only compatible with the specified VG2 shell model. For example, the Glock VG2 CLAW will not fit the M&P VG2 holster shell.

Please note, we do not advise attempting to reload the weapon while the VG2 is in your clothing. You must remove the VG2 and install it on the weapon outside the belt. I was talking to a user on the Discord chat room recently and he mentioned that they absolutely love their Vanguard 2. I hadn't heard of these cases before (I'm sure someone in the comments will give me something to whine about), but I knew about a similar concept. TFB's own James Reeves used something called ClipDraw in a video titled Five Summer Concealed Pistol Carry Methods + Beach Jam Playlist. To bring us back to this POTD, I asked Ty to send me some pictures of his Vanguard and he happily agreed. He kept mentioning how great this case was for him. Ty mentioned that he works as a technician and a full Kydex holster was taking up too much of his belt space. However, he said it fits him perfectly and if you draw it, it forces your index finger straight off the trigger guard instead of forcing it into the trigger guard.
This was the picture that started this whole post. As you can see, the Vanguard covers the trigger guard, acting as a trigger lock when the gun is held. The clip (pictured in the title) then attaches to your belt or waist for minimal wear.

This item is a lace kit only. Each VG2 case comes with a 24-inch braided nylon cord. This kit works just like the original Vanguard. We also offer three packs at a discount. It's a great option to keep the VG2 wherever you need it. If you want in the future, you can always have a VG2 shell by ordering a set with VG2 struts. Upgradable to a full IWB holster kit.
First, it can be used as a cover to protect the trigger (without rope or support and soft loop assembly) for storage and transport safety. Furthermore, it can also be used with a static connection for body wear (IWB) or off the body (such as a bag, purse, briefcase, vehicle console, etc.). This allows the weapon to be safely tossed around without fear of accidental discharge, while being quickly deployable. The case can also be removed by holding the nose of the case and prying. This allows the weapon to be deployed with one hand even when the tether or attachment point does not remove the holster.
Finally, users can attach a support and soft loop assembly to create a stable, secure, IWB holster.
